1. OnePlus 10 Pro Premium quality in nearly every way Specifications Release date: January 2022 Weight: 201g Dimensions: 163 x 73.9 x 8.6 mm OS: Android 12 Screen size: 6.7-inch Resolution: 1440 x 3216 CPU: Snapdragon 8 Gen 1 RAM: 8/12GB Storage: 128/256/512GB Battery: 5,000mAh Rear camera: 48MP + 50MP + 8MP Front camera: 32MP specifications Storage Size 128GB Condition New Today's Best Deals View at Amazon (opens in new tab) View at Amazon (opens in new tab) View at Amazon (opens in new tab) Reasons to buy + Fantastic screen + Incredibly fast charging Reasons to avoid - Bit big - Camera isn't perfect

The OnePlus 10 Pro offers a lot for the price. It's a big phone that won't suit everyone's needs but that does mean it has a gorgeous display. A 6.7-inch AMOLED panel, it's expansive as well as bright and beautiful to look at.

A max brightness of 1,300 nits ensures it can cope with any situation, while a 120Hz refresh rate means smooth scrolling at all times.

Its camera isn't quite the strongest compared to same-price rivals but it still takes great photos. It has a 48MP f/1.8 main, 50MP f/2.2 ultrawide and 8MP f/2.4 telephoto set of lenses. The main camera produces bright and colorful images while the ultrawide offers a quirky if niche fish-eye style mode. A plentiful supply of software features strengthens its potential.

Throw in super fast charging, good battery life, and speedy performance, and the OnePlus 10 Pro is a delight to use.

2. OnePlus Nord 2T Perfectly capable in many ways Specifications Release date: May 2022 Weight: 190g Dimensions: 159.1 x 73.2 x 8.2 mm OS: Android 12 Screen size: 6.43-inch Resolution: 1080 x 2400 CPU: MediaTek Dimensity 1300 RAM: 8/12GB Storage: 128/256GB Battery: 4,500mAh Rear camera: 50MP + 8MP + 2MP Front camera: 32MP Today's Best Deals Check Amazon (opens in new tab) Reasons to buy + Strong performance + Excellent main camera Reasons to avoid - Bland design - No IP rating

The OnePlus Nord 2T isn't the most exciting looking phone out there with a fairly ordinary design, but it packs a punch where it counts.

Similar to the Nord 2 before it, it offers the same 6.43-inch 90Hz AMOLED display and the same camera too, making this a worthy revision more than anything else.

Performance wise, it now has the Dimensity 1300 chip and that means pretty good performance for the price, as well as a cooler running build. It's another mark in favor of the OnePlus Nord 2T being all about reliability.

3. OnePlus 10T The OnePlus 10 you always wanted Specifications Release date: August 2022 Weight: 204g Dimensions: 163 x 75.4 x 8.8mm OS: Android 12 Screen size: 6.7-inch Resolution: 1080 x 2412 CPU: Snapdragon 8 Plus Gen 1 RAM: 8/12/16GB Storage: 128/256GB Battery: 4,800mAh Rear camera: 50MP + 8MP + 2MP Front camera: 16MP specifications RAM 8GB RAM Storage Size 128GB Colour Black Read more ▼ Today's Best Deals View at Amazon (opens in new tab) View at Amazon (opens in new tab) View at Best Buy (opens in new tab) Reasons to buy + Fast to charge + Lots of processing power Reasons to avoid - Middling cameras - Poor battery life

The OnePlus 10T is in some ways an even better phone than the OnePlus 10 Pro – it has a more powerful Snapdragon 8 Plus Gen 1 chipset, along with faster 150W charging.

In most other ways though it’s either similar or worse, but that’s ok because it also costs less. So if your priority is power or charging speed, then this is arguably the top OnePlus option, it’s just a less accomplished all-rounder than the OnePlus 10 Pro.

Beyond the power and charging speed, our review praised the OnePlus 10T’s good-looking 6.7-inch screen, but noted that the cameras aren’t special, and the battery life disappoints – so it’s a good thing it charges fast.

If you’re a mobile gamer or want a OnePlus flagship but can’t stretch to the 10 Pro then we’d suggest giving this a look, but it’s too flawed to top our charts.

4. OnePlus 9 Pro A giant leap for OnePlus photography Specifications Release date: March 2021 Weight: 197g Dimensions: 163.2 x 73.6 x 8.7mm OS: Android 11 Screen size: 6.7-inch Resolution: 1440 x 3216 CPU: Snapdragon 888 RAM: 8/12GB Storage: 128/256GB Battery: 4,500mAh Rear camera: 48MP + 50MP + 8MP + 2MP Front camera: 16MP specifications RAM 12GB RAM Storage Size 256GB Condition New Read more ▼ Today's Best Deals View at Amazon (opens in new tab) View at OnePlus US & Canada (opens in new tab) Reasons to buy + The best OnePlus camera phone + Top-end power Reasons to avoid - Very expensive for OnePlus - No microSD support

The OnePlus 9 Pro is a top-tier flagship and one that improves on the main weakness of previous OnePlus phones – their cameras.

Thanks to a new Hasselblad partnership and a ‘freeform’ ultra-wide lens, designed to reduce the distortion at the edge of images, the OnePlus 9 Pro is the best OnePlus camera phone.

But a fancy new camera isn’t all this has going for it. There’s also its top-tier pairing of a Snapdragon 888 chipset and up to 12GB of RAM, for enormous amounts of power, and its 6.7-inch 1440 x 3216 AMOLED screen with a 120Hz refresh rate and HDR10+, ensuring visuals are among the best you’ll find on a phone.

With a typically premium design too, plus water resistance, and a respectable 4,500mAh battery with 65W fast charging and 50W wireless charging, the OnePlus 9 Pro is a phone with no obvious omissions or compromises, yet one that still costs less than the top rivals – although its price is certainly still on the high side.

5. OnePlus Nord N20 Cheap 5G functionality Specifications Release date: April 2022 Weight: 173g Dimensions: 159.9 x 73.2 x 7.5 mm OS: Android 11 Screen size: 6.43-inch Resolution: 1080 x 2400 CPU: Snapdragon 695 5G RAM: 6GB Storage: 128GB Battery: 4,500mAh Rear camera: 64MP + 2MP + 2MP Front camera: 16MP Reasons to buy + Great performance + Excellent OLED display Reasons to avoid - Average camera - Weak vibration motor

The OnePlus Nord N20 is remarkably cheap for a 5G phone that has such a great display. Bright and vibrant, its 6.43-inch panel works well in direct sunlight as well as indoors.

While it might only offer a 60Hz refresh rate, that's a small price to pay for paying a small price.

The phone's Snapdragon 695 packs a punch at this price while battery life is easily over a day without a problem. It's only really the camera that lets the side down a bit, offering average snaps.

6. OnePlus 9 A great-value option with no major drawbacks Specifications Release date: March 2021 Weight: 192g Dimensions: 160 x 74.2 x 8.7mm OS: Android 11 Screen size: 6.55-inch Resolution: 1080 x 2400 CPU: Snapdragon 888 RAM: 8/12GB Storage: 128/256GB Battery: 4,500mAh Rear camera: 48MP + 50MP + 2MP Front camera: 16MP specifications RAM 8GB RAM Storage Size 128GB Colour Black Read more ▼ Today's Best Deals View at Amazon (opens in new tab) View at Amazon (opens in new tab) View at Amazon (opens in new tab) Reasons to buy + Great specs for the cost + Good camera Reasons to avoid - No telephoto camera - Lack of flagship-material polish

The OnePlus 9 has many of the best features of the OnePlus 9 Pro, including its Hasselblad camera partnership and freeform ultra-wide lens (designed to correct the distortion that ultra-wide images often suffer from). It lacks the Pro’s telephoto camera, but otherwise the photography performance is similar – and a lot better than previous OnePlus phones.

You also get just as much power here as on the Pro (or as on most 2021 flagships), thanks to a Snapdragon 888 chipset and up to 12GB of RAM. Plus the same size (4,500mAh) battery, with just as fast 65W charging – though the wireless charging is slower here, at 15W.

The 6.55-inch AMOLED screen isn’t quite as sharp at 1080 x 2400, but it still has a 120Hz refresh rate, and costs have been cut on the design of the phone, as it has a plastic rather than metal frame.

But these savings are passed on to the buyer, as the OnePlus 9 while not cheap is great value for what you get, and should be the perfect fit for anyone who doesn’t need the extra bells and whistles of the OnePlus 9 Pro.

The OnePlus Nord 2 doesn't have global availability and it lacks a certain amount of charm with its design, but it packs a punch where it counts.

With a 6.43-inch 1080 x 2400 resolution AMOLED display with a 90Hz refresh rate, it's smoother than some phones in its price point while also feeling just the right size to fit in your hand.

Alongside that is a dependable 50MP wide camera that's capable of some strong results, and an 8MP ultra-wide camera too. There's suitably strong performance as well from the MediaTek Dimensity 1200-AI chipset that should put you in good stead for a while to come. Best of all is its 5G support and 65W fast charging that works fantastically. It's all suitably reassuring at this price.

The OnePlus Nord CE 2 is a marriage of the 'main' Nord devices and the more affordable ones, giving you some premium elements in a budget phone.

The device offers 5G connectivity, quick charging and a dainty design, but skimps in some areas - neither its performance nor cameras are anything to write home about.

Still, at its low price tier, this is sure to be a tempting smartphone for certain users, depending on what you're looking for.

Before the OnePlus 9 Pro launched, the OnePlus 8 Pro was the company's best handset, and it's still great now. It stands out both from previous OnePlus phones through having a 120Hz refresh rate, and that refresh rate is attached to an all-round superb screen.

The OnePlus 8 Pro also packs high-end power, 5G, wireless charging, reverse wireless charging, water resistance, an in-screen fingerprint scanner, a quad-lens camera, and just about every other high-end feature you’d expect.

As a result of all this it’s also expensive, and was almost as pricey as big-name rivals at launch, but there’s no denying that you get plenty of phone for your money.

Comfortable and light in your hand, the phone boasts a classy looking 6.43-inch AMOLED display with a 90Hz refresh rate. It looks great for streaming your favorite videos or simply browsing at speed.

It's not the fastest OnePlus out there and the camera performance is a little lacklustre for the price, but look past that and you'll be pleased to see a speedy charging time and a suitably well performing battery. For the non-photographer out there, you'll be happy with what's here.

I consistently recommend smartphones from a company that few in the US have ever heard of over Apple's iPhones or Samsung's Galaxy phones — this is why

Despite having access to numerous expensive flagship smartphones, like those from Apple and Samsung, my SIM card usually ends up in phones from a little-known smartphone maker to the US — OnePlus.

OnePlus phones have consistently proven to be excellent devices for nearly half the price of their competitors.

They're popular around the world, but not in the US because Americans typically buy their phones from carriers, which don't feature OnePlus phones.

Check out why I recommend OnePlus phones to friends and family before recommending Apple's iPhones or Samsung's Galaxy S phones.

Visit Business Insider's homepage for more stories.

For months, I've been placing smartphones from OnePlus ahead of the likes of Apple and Samsung in my top 20 smartphones list, and I thought it was time to elaborate on why.

You may be thinking, "Shouldn't mega-phones from the biggest names in tech get the top spot on the list?" No! Not at all! Apple and Samsung are just names to me. What matters most are the phones themselves and what they propose for their price tags.

And at the end of the day, it's always OnePlus phones that come out on top.

OnePlus phones aren't that well known in the US because they're not typically sold in carrier stores, which happens to be where most Americans buy their smartphones (usually, people in the US will have to buy OnePlus phones from the company's website). But hopefully, more Americans will get to see that OnePlus phones actually exist, since now you can find them in T-Mobile stores.

Here's what makes OnePlus phones so great:

Best OnePlus Phones to buy in 2022

Over the last couple of years, there has been a shift in strategy at OnePlus, and instead of offering only one device a year — aimed at the flagship market — the OEM ships a whole lineup targeting various price points. And in this article, we go…

If you're looking to buy an Android smartphone, a brand that many people consistently recommend is OnePlus, due to its combination of hardware and software that is made available at a competitive price. Now, the OEM isn't exactly how it used to be a few years ago, but in 2022, it still creates some of the most value-for-money phones around the globe, a choice few of which are also available in North America.

POCKETNOW VIDEO OF THE DAY

The numbered flagship lineup — OnePlus 10 Pro stands the latest — and the budget-oriented Nord Series have all delivered consistently, and you'd be just fine picking any device on offer. However, the year-on-year launches and the more minor price differences can make it a task to choose a phone. Thus, this article goes over the best OnePlus phones available in 2022 to help you make the right decision.

Best Overall Phone: OnePlus 10 Pro

Source: Pocketnow

OnePlus 10 Pro marks a return to the OnePlus we know and love in some ways, making for a smartphone option worth considering if you wish to have the best device from the OEM. It brings a 6.7-inch QHD+ display to the table with an adaptive 120Hz refresh rate. Its implementation of a 2nd generation LTPO panel allows the display to go as low as 1Hz, promoting greater efficiency for features like the always-on display. The panel is also one of the best due to its 10-bit color depth and 1300 nits of peak brightness.

Driving the graphics on this unit is the Qualcomm Snapdragon 8 Gen 1, supported by 8GB of RAM and 128GB of internal storage — a 12/256GB model might be available based on your geographical location. And powering this whole system is a massive 5000 mAh battery. The software's working with this cell even lead to Jaime Rivera calling it the battery life king in his full review.

Speaking of camera hardware, the OnePlus 10 Pro features the 2nd generation Hasselblad camera, which uses a 48 MP Wide, 50 MP Ultra-wide, and 8 MP Telephoto. And in year two of its three-year partnership, the work put into the camera algorithm shows with the device now producing images with its unique aesthetic.

The OnePlus 10 Pro gets a lot of the core features correct, and at $899, it is priced well, as it competes against devices like the Samsung Galaxy S22 Ultra and iPhone 13 Pro Max, both of which cost upwards of $1000. The Google Pixel 6 Pro is a worthy competitor, but if you're in a region without Google's smartphone, the OnePlus 10 Pro will be an even easier recommendation!

OnePlus 10 Pro 5G OnePlus 10 Pro ships with a 6.7-inch QHD+ display that uses a 2nd generation LTPO panel. It also features the Snapdragon 8 Gen 1 and aims to deliver a unique camera experience with a 150-degree Ultrawide camera and implementations from the second year of the Hasselblad partnership. An Alternate to the Latest Flagship: OnePlus 9 Pro

Source: Pocketnow Video

If the $899 price tag on the OnePlus 10 Pro is a hard pill to swallow, you can look back upon last year's flagship, which isn't that different and even offers more RAM and storage. Last year, when OnePlus asked users to fork out $1069 for the device, it received a bit of negative sentiment, though it marked OnePlus' shift to a company making bonafide flagships.

But in 2022, it can be had for $799 or less, making it quite valuable for its asking price. And maybe, if you look around or wait for a deal, you might even find it for a lower price.

OnePlus 9 Pro comes with a 6.7-inch display that refreshes at 120Hz and has 10-bit color depth and QHD+ resolution. The only differences between this unit and the one on the 10 Pro are that the older generation LTPO limits the 9 Pro's minimum refresh rate to 10Hz, and it has a lower peak brightness of 1100 nits.

Powering the smartphone is the Snapdragon 888 chipset and a 4500 mAh cell. And you can pick it up with 12GB RAM and 256GB of internal storage. Speaking of camera hardware, you'll find a 48 MP primary wide camera, a 50 MP ultra-wide camera, an 8 MP telephoto, and a 2 MP monochrome shooter. Flip around to the front, and housed within the hole punch is a 16 MP shooter — this system also comes with Hasselblad branding and is quite capable.

OnePlus 9 Pro The OnePlus 9 Pro is the alternative to consider if you're looking for more storage on your smartphone. A lot of its hardware is similar to the new OnePlus 10 Pro and will provide a smooth user experience. Its camera system uses the first-generation Hasselblad camera, and the device comes with a battery that will allow for a full day of use. View at OnePlus View at Amazon View at Best Buy

Best Non-Pro Device: OnePlus 9

Source: Pocketnow Video

In a market filled with options like Google Pixel 6, the upcoming Pixel 6a, and the Galaxy S21 FE, we don't expect many to be looking at other phones. But OnePlus 9 is a device worth keeping an eye on because of its hardware setup and the fact that there isn't any indication of a OnePlus 10 coming to market.

OnePlus 9 features a 6.55-inch FHD+ display that refreshes at 120Hz (not adaptive) with a flat design. Handling processing is the Qualcomm Snapdragon 888, and it's supported by 8GB of RAM and 128GB of internal storage. And to power the entire system, OnePlus packages a 4500 mAh split battery supporting Warp Charge 65T.

The camera hardware here isn't a one-for-one match to the 9 Pro and loses out on critical features like Optical Image Stabilization. These omissions make it difficult to justify this phone against the Pixel 6, but if you're looking for performance, this smartphone has its beat. And against the Samsung Galaxy S21 FE, the software experience here makes it an option worth considering.

Coming back to the camera array, the setup includes a 48 MP primary shooter and a 50 MP ultrawide. There is also a monochrome camera alongside this hardware, completing the "triple camera" system, but we'd not expect it to make much of an impact.

Best Budget Phone: OnePlus N20 5G

Source: Pocketnow

The OnePlus Nord lineup allowed the brand to make once again devices that competed in the market by offering a greater price to performance ratio like the devices from its beginning years. As part of the Nord lineup, OnePlus also sells the Nord N series, which focuses on revamping the entry-level market with options making newer technology more accessible.

The Nord N20 5G moves forward with this ideology and replaces the Nord N10. It offers a large 6.43-inch FHD+ AMOLED display with an in-display fingerprint sensor. And is powered by a 4500 mAh cell that comes in tow with 33W fast charging support — plus an adapter in the box.

OnePlus is bundling a 64 MP primary sensor and two 2 MP sensors, one Macro and one Monochrome for cameras. On the front, you will find a 16 MP camera. Handling all the images and applications processing is the mid-range Snapdragon 695, which is quite capable and supports 5G.

If you need a budget phone that can handle any action asked of it without breaking a sweat and has a premium design, the OnePlus Nord N20 5G is the option to buy.

Best Import: OnePlus 9RT

Last on this list is the OnePlus 9RT. Part of the OnePlus 9 Series, the 9RT is a device that only made its way to two geographical locations — China and India. But we feel it picks up features from its parent phones, creating a combination that offers the best of two worlds.

It uses specific components from the 9 Pro and others from the OnePlus 9R, a device that is more or less a OnePlus 8T.

The 9RT comes with a more squarish look and feel when compared to the 9 Pro and features a 6.62-inch FHD+ display with a 120Hz refresh rate. Powering the smartphone is a Snapdragon 888, with a dual-cell 4500 mAh cell.

The camera hardware on this smartphone is a mixed bag that performs well. While I'm personally not a fan of OnePlus' decision to use an Ultrawide camera in its primary lens, the sensor does produce outstanding results on well-focussed subjects. The actual 16 MP ultrawide camera is an okay addition that does manage to capture decent images in well-lit conditions. The front camera on this smartphone is a 16 MP sensor that remains in line with the average performance OnePlus has always delivered with this sensor.

The OnePlus 9RT will cost you about $100 lesser than the OnePlus 9. So, if you're willing to not worry about factors like warranty and maybe connectivity in some cases, the 9RT is a better device to buy due to its premium build quality!

OnePlus 9RT OnePlus 9RT is the best device to import if you're looking for a flagship-level experience with hardware. It comes with great build quality and a spec sheet that puts it at the top with other sub-$500 smartphones. View at oneplus.in View at Amazon
